Student, staff and visitor safety is paramount, whether we’re fitting out new classrooms, upgrading CCTV systems or anything in between. Our DBS-checked teams work day and night shifts to complete projects during holiday periods, incorporating off-site construction to save time. When the work impacts building users (inside or outside term time), we adopt a phased approach, work nights, remove hazards during the day, create temporary access routes, and escort people through live works when necessary.
Detailed, intrusive surveys and analysis reduce the risk of finding asbestos-containing materials after work begins and prevent any subsequent delays. All employees attend role-specific asbestos awareness or management training designed by CBES and approved by UKATA (UK Asbestos Training Association).
LED lighting, harvesting rainwater to flush toilets, solar panels and combined heat and power are some of the ways we’ve reduced environmental impact and running costs. We consider lifecycle costing by recommending reliable assets (based on reactive callout data) to reduce downtime disruption and send fewer faulty parts to landfill.
