As a family owned company, our ethos is to make a difference to our local communities. Social value is at the heart of everything we do from the employment of local people, to supporting SMEs and the wider supply chain. We approach our projects sustainably in line with our Net Zero aspirations and use our technical expertise to deliver tangible and measurable social benefits which support local communities.
Hands on delivery
We truly embody the meaning of partnership by not only delivering customer requirements to a high standard but by helping our customers to achieves their social value goals.
As a technical business some of the most valuable things we can do is get involved at grassroots level. We work with our partners to identify opportunities to make real difference to people and places using our resources and skills.
This work has been recognised by one of our key clients Coop in 2021 with their Community Award.
Apprenticeships
CBES has a long history of employing apprentices and providing work experience to youth. We have developed a management apprenticeship programme which delivers a pathway to professional careers. The construction industry is historically male dominated. In 2021, we employed 4 female management apprentices who will go on to achieve a professional qualification in either project management or quantity surveying.
Procurement
CBES has 8 offices throughout the UK where we deliver 100s of projects which require services from the supply chain. We make it our aim to build relationships with local suppliers to benefit the community in the immediate vicinity. We regularly hold supply chain workshops as a means to meet and greet new suppliers.
