Few homes carry the cultural significance of Mendips, the Liverpool house where John Lennon lived from 1946 with his Aunt Mimi and Uncle George, and where he and his friends laid the foundations of the Beatles. It came into National Trust ownership in 2002, and has been restored to how it looked in the Beatles' early years.
Working on behalf of the National Trust, our team repaired a damaged original Bakelite light fitting in Lennon's former bedroom. It was a small job in an extraordinary setting, and part of our long relationship with the National Trust, supporting properties from historic country estates to cultural landmarks. Behind every famous building is a team of skilled people keeping it safe, working and ready for the next chapter.
