Our M&E team were appointed by Principal Contractor BAM Construction to deliver MEP fit out at the new
£20 million healthcare facility in Greenock. Built for the Inverclyde Health & Social Partnership & NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, provides the local community with a wide range of health and care services under one roof in a single self-contained state of the art facility.
Our M&E team worked closely with main contractor BAM Construction, TÜV SÜD and the design team, to co-ordinate services within the Business Infrastructure Model.
The development of the new health centre was challenging from a technical standpoint in that the build location was on a significant incline, also various items of plant had to be located within the roof space, including the energy saving PV (solar panel) installation, the fit-out was further complicated in that it was achieved under lockdown conditions with strict protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all on site.
Our collaborative approach extends to daily co-ordination with NHS estates teams, which helps us minimise disruption, protect patients, staff and visitors, and control the risk of infection when working in live environments.
