Construction Case Study

Creating energy efficient solutions

Helping our client Leicester City Council to future-proof their building stock, making it more energy efficient with reduced carbon emissions.

Case Study

CBES are a trusted supplier to Leicester City Council having been appointed to their Contractor Framework in 2018. We have undertaken various projects for the council. Most recently, the council were granted Salix funding by the UK Government as part of a larger programme to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills of Local Authorities' public estate.

We were appointed by LCC for works on various sites including Eyres Monsell CYPFC, Beaumont Leys Library, Merrydale Infant school, African Caribbean Centre, Alderman Richard Hallam Primary School, Catherine Infant School and Avenue Primary, to implement carbon reduction measures including window replacement, insulation works and Air Source Heat Pumps.

We worked closely with the council and building users to ensure minimum disruption at the sites during the construction, and identified and met the need to deliver the ASHPs within the timeline outlined to meet the round of funding.

The works are still progressing across various sites throughout 2022, and it is expected that the carbon reduction programme will have immediate benefits to building users and the wider community.
