Health & Fitness Club Refurbishment, Thames Ditton

Colets is a large independent club which offers fitness facilities, a pool, squash courts, family areas and a spa to its members. The project involved a major refurbishment and extension being built to allow for new office space, a cafe/bar area and the creation of a balcony overlooking the outfields of the club.

The project included the following areas:

• Refurbishment of ladies & men’s wet and dry changing rooms, along with the construction of new steam rooms facilities.
• The creation of new offices, a cafe bar area and an extension to the atrium through the addition of a steel framed extension. A concrete balcony was also added to the building.
• One of the gym studies was refurbished, and another was refurbished & extended through the addition of glazed walling.
• A new plant room was built and air conditioning installed to the changing room and office areas.

The club remained open throughout the project. Regular communication between all parties ensured that the day to day running of the facility wasn’t impacted upon, with out of hours working used to reduce disruption.
