Government Support

Providing spaces for people

The emphasis of public sector procurement is shifting – from lowest cost to lowest impact

Contractors must now take account of government guidance in The Construction Playbook, and build better, faster and greener. At the same time, taxpayer funds must be spent responsibly. City’s divisions – including construction, mechanical and electrical, fire and security, and facilities management – work seamlessly with all parties to design, create and care for public spaces. Our complete transparency and frequent communication solves issues quickly and minimises delays. We offer value for money with improvements that save time, cost and energy.

Benefitting local communities

Benefitting local communities

Our projects provide economic and social benefit in line with the Social Value Act 2012. We employ local labour and apprentices, donate materials to community groups and have taught schoolchildren about the dangers of construction sites. Driven by our social value programme, OneCity Taking Action Together, we support local groups and initiatives across the UK.

Keeping citizens safe and roads running smoothly

Keeping citizens safe and roads running smoothly

Our National Security Inspectorate (NSI) gold-accredited fire and security division designs, installs and maintains CCTV in key locations in UK towns and cities. Wi-fi radio mesh provides flexibility to move cameras to hotspots. Networks can easily grow to cover new infrastructure, and access control and perimeter fencing enhance the protection.
